We thank the University of Southern Indiana Education Department for helping keep Mr. Nelson in Feel the History. Veterans Interviews to Accompany Ken Burns' The War on PBS

What is an interstitial?
Interstitials are short pieces of from 30 seconds to 90 seconds or more used to fill space in between programs.
Why are interstitials important to Feel the History? Feel the History 2 (FtH2) students have created 30 interstitials to accompany Ken Burns' documentary The War that began airing on WNIN on September 23rd. Beginning the week of September 10th, WNIN used the FtH2 interstitials to promote The War. The interstitials will also be aired before and after each episode of The War, including reruns. These interstitials are excerpts from Veterans Interviews the FtH2 students have been conducting since the beginning of school. Click to see the first two interstitials created by FtH2 students. These 30 interstitials are also playing from time to time, not always around a Ken Burns episode.
